Access to Markets

Through the Enterprise Europe Network, on behalf of member of hte consortium BITNET - University of Sarajevo (UNSA) provides tailored support to help companies, entrepreneurs, and researchers explore and expand into new markets. The service includes:

• International Partner Search – Facilitating connections with potential business, research, and innovation partners across more than 60 countries.

• Business Matchmaking & Brokerage Events – Organising and participating in B2B meetings, trade fairs, and sector-specific missions to identify new clients, suppliers, or technology partners.

• Market Intelligence & Entry Support – Providing up-to-date information on foreign markets, sectoral trends, regulatory frameworks, and standards relevant for internationalisation.

• Support with Internationalisation Strategies – Advising SMEs and research organisations on how to prepare for international expansion, adapt products/services, and position themselves within global value chains.

• EU Single Market Opportunities – Guidance on cross-border trade, public procurement opportunities in the EU, and participation in transnational research and innovation projects.

This service helps organisations in FBiH strengthen their global competitiveness, increase exports, and integrate more effectively into European and international innovation ecosystems.

Access to Finance

EEN provides tailored support to help SMEs and research institutions identify and secure funding opportunities for innovation and growth. This service includes:

• EU Funding Opportunities – Guidance on accessing Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Interreg, and other European programmes relevant to research and innovation.

• Private Financing Instruments – Information and matchmaking with venture capital funds, business angels, banks, and alternative finance providers such as crowdfunding or crowd-investing platforms.

• Investment Readiness Support – Advisory services on preparing business plans, investment pitches, and financial forecasts to attract investors.

• Support for ESG and Sustainable Finance – Assistance in aligning business models and project proposals with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria and EU sustainable finance regulations.

• EEN2EIC Support – As UNSA has signed the EEN2EIC Local Node Agreement, we connect innovators and start-ups from FBiH with the European Innovation Council (EIC), enabling them to access advanced funding schemes, partnerships, and scale-up opportunities.
